Symptoms: Severe bloating, constipation, alternating diarrhea & constipation, upper GI pain, gas
Previous Treatments:
- Told to “eat more fiber” and try elimination diets

Why Was She Bloated No Matter What She Ate?
Through functional stool testing and mineral analysis, we discovered:
🔬 Gut Imbalances & Dysbiosis – An overgrowth of bacteria causing bloating and incomplete digestion

Basically we found A LOT from a couple tests that made it SO clear as to why she was having every single symptom she was having. Key Findings From Her Medical History + What Testing Showed
- Gallbladder was removed (2009) → This can decrease bile production and impact fat digestion which we saw on her stool test (pictured below)

- Dysbiosis: Unwanted overgrowth bacteria → This will impact bloating and bowel completion (pictured below)
- Partial hysterectomy (2023) → Hormonal shifts affecting gut motility contributing to constipation. Hormonal shifts can also impact bile flow and production
- Poor gut immune system from stool testing→ This is WHY she was bloated regardless of what she was eating and food elimination wasn’t helping (Low Secretory IgA pictured below)
- Blood sugar dysregulation contributes to stress on digestion. We see significant signs of stress on her HTMA (hair tissue mineral analysis pictured below)
Our Approach: A Functional, Root-Cause Strategy
❌ No unnecessary elimination diets or food sensitivity tests. We don’t see these often work for clients because they are only covering up symptoms and not addressing the REASON for the symptoms.

Our Approach
🔬 Functional Testing: We ran a stool test and identified gut bacterial imbalances + poor gut lining integrity + Mineral testing
This revealed:
- Her body was in a huge magnesium loss (which is why no amount of magnesium was helping her constipation)
- Her body was under tons of stress (her high sodium indicates stress) + Ca/P ratio indicating slow metabolic status, Na/K ratio indicating a stress pattern, Ca/K ratio indicating sluggish thyroid function, Zn/Cu ratio indicating copper issues
- H Pylori: this is suppressing her stomach acid, decreasing pancreatic output and ultimately impacting her bile flow. This is also a big factor in her Upper GI pain
- Low Secretory IgA: The reason for why she is reacting to foods (elimination diets and restriction make this worse)
- Low pancreatic enzymes: Why she is bloated after eating (pancreatic function is essential for protein, carb and fat digestion)
